GIRO BY MUT DESIGN
GAN RUGS, 2023

GAN RUGS
Product
2023
Pirographic curves through the magic of hand-tufting GIRO’s design is based on a succession of mathematical curves which, thanks to a slight variation in their shapes, generate the optical illusion of a tube rolled up on itself. Its meandering textures and reliefs result in designs with movement that add a playful touch. GIRO rugs are handmade with virgin wool using the hand-tufting technique. Giro rugs are available in three main colours: Lilac, Peach and Black&white. They are three impactful shades that contrast with the white base and offer different visual nuances depending on the density of the curves.

My role in this commission primarily involved the computational development of the design and input on aesthetic and functional aspects, such as the color palette, textures, and sizes.
